Sam Raimi Explains America Chavez's Important Role in Doctor Strange 2
Director Sam Raimi recently explained the important role of America Chavez in Doctor Strange 2. Not to forget, Raimi also gave an explanation of the character’s relationship in the Doctor Strange universe.
Only a few weeks left for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to be released, to welcome the release of this film, Sam Raimi also answered all questions about the character of America Chavez that many people did not know.

Regarding the role of America Chavez in Doctor Strange 2, Sam Raimi gives an explanation
Not long ago, in an interview with Fandango The director who was born on October 23, 1959 revealed that America Chavez came from another Multiverse who deliberately ‘dropped in’ in the universe that Stephen Strange is currently in.

“He adds an exciting youthful vibrancy. He’s a newcomer to his power and our world. I think he brings a sense of lightness and youth. Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange can be a very selfish and rigid, know-it-all character. He just flies in the face of it,” said Raimi, launching from ScreenRant.
“He’s much more humble and one of us, and he doesn’t take his stand. I didn’t think he liked it at first. So he creates a contrast.”
In the comic version, the character America Chavez does have the ability to open portals and travel from one universe to another with ease. In addition, he also knows the concept of the Multiverse that Doctor Strange does not know much about.
As a result, his presence in Doctor Strange 2 is claimed to help Stephen, who is overwhelmed when he faces chaos due to the Multiverse gate he accidentally opens. At that time, Strange cast a spell wrong when Peter Parker asked for his help to erase everyone’s memory of Spider-Man.
On another occasion, Sam Raimi also explained that Strange would learn a lot about the Multiverse concept from America Chavez.
“Strange is still learning about the Multiverse. And here’s a character who can really get through it. He knows everything very well all the time, and has to learn from a child maybe smart,” Raimi said.
