Intel Releases Special Chip For Mining Bitcoin, More Energy Saving!

Intel officially presents a special chip for mining Bitcoin (BTC). According to him, this chip will be able to save energy better you know! Bitcoin miners must have this.

Now, the company headquartered in Santa Clara, California, Silicon Valley has spread its wings by presenting a special chip for bitcoin miners called Blockscale ASIC.

Quoted from Theblockcrypto, Intel has embedded a sophisticated processor in the form of ASIC Hash Algorithm-256 (SHA-256) which is able to save energy thanks to the hash rate operation reaching 580 Gigahash per second (GH/s). As a result, energy efficiency can be felt up to 26 Joules per Terahash (J/TH).

Jose Rios, general manager of Blockchain and Business Solutions at Intel’s Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group, said this chip could help bitcoin mining companies get more BTC supplies for their companies.

The Intel Blockscale ASIC will play a major role in helping bitcoin mining companies achieve their sustainability goals and hash rate scale in the years to come,” said Jose Rios.

Until this article was published, there were already several companies queuing up to buy this latest chip from Intel, such as Argo Blockchain, Block Inc, Hive Blockchain Technologies, and GRIID Infrastructure.

If there are no obstacles, Intel will start marketing this product in the third quarter of 2022. However, only certain Bitcoin mining companies can ‘taste’ the performance of Blockscale ASIC chips.
