Best Build for Ganyu in Genshin Impact
Ganyu finally released in Genshin Impact last January 12. Similar to Diona, this character uses a bow and arrow weapon and has Cryo elements. But as a five-star character, he was certainly much stronger than many other characters.

Viridescent Hunt: This weapon is suitable if you want to maximize Ganyu’s overall damage output. This means that this weapon is suitable if you want to use Ganyu as DPS. The one thing you are looking for the most in this weapon is its second stat, namely Crit Rate, which certainly complements the Ganyu Ascension effect which increases Crit Damage.
Sacrificial Bow or Favonious Warbow: We include these two weapons because they have the same purpose. You are only looking for one thing from these two weapons, namely the second stats of Energy Recharge. The goal is that you always have enough energy to continuously use the Elemental Burst.
Ganyu Artifacts
Ganyu is a character who has a choice Artifact which is quite flexible. He has many effective Artifact sets depending on his role in the team. But the stats you are looking for are generally the same, namely Crit Rate, Attack%, Cryo Damage, and Energy Recharge. Which stats take priority depends on what you need.

The best composition for Ganyu is a team of two Cryo characters (including Ganyu). The reason why this composition is ideal is because you want to use the Resonance Cryo effect which is to increase the Crit Rate when you attack an opponent affected by the Cryo effect. Again, thanks to its Elemental Burst, giving a consistent Cryo effect isn’t that hard to do Ganyu.
But if you don’t want to maximize the Cryo Resonance effect, Ganyu actually matches anyone who can consistently deal elemental damage. This is because thanks to the ability Ganyu which produces the Cryo effect consistently, teammates with other Elemental damage will certainly help activate Reaction continuously. This means that your damage output also increases significantly.
Fortunately, there are quite a few characters who have these criteria. Catalyst users like Klee or Mona would match Ganyu. other than that Venti, Albedo, or even Xiangling is suitable to play together Ganyu thanks to their Elemental Skill and/or Burst.
