Shakhtar Donetsk Launches NFT To Help Ukrainian Economy

Binance and Shakhtar Donetsk have officially launched the NFT collection, the proceeds of which will be used to help Ukrainians affected by the war. It’s really cool, guys, the action of the two of them!

FC Shakhtar Donetsk is a Ukrainian football club that plays in the Ukrainian Premier League. The club is headquartered in the Kiev Olympic Stadium and was founded on May 24, 1936. Meanwhile, Binance is a crypto exchange platform that is quite popular among activists. cryptocurrency.

Now, the two of them are working together to present a collection of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) whose entire sale proceeds will be donated to Ukrainian citizens who are experiencing difficulties due to the attacks launched by the Russian military.

According to reports from Bitcoin News, the NFT collection released by Shakhtar Donetsk is a jersey that has been signed by several Shakhtar Donetsk players. Of course, the jersey comes in digital form.

In its official statement, Binance explained that the NFT will be released in an auction system, starting from May 7 to May 14, 2022. This means that Binance and Shakhtar Donetsk only auctioned this digital asset in just 1 week.

“The highest bidder will each receive a limited edition FC Shakhtar Donetsk jersey with the ‘Football for Peace’ logo on it,” Binance wrote.

Some of the Shakhtar Donetsk players who signed the jersey are Taras Stepanenko, Mikhail Mudryk, Andriy Pyatov, and Roberto De Zerbi who is currently the main coach.

In addition, there are also 10,000 NFT mystery boxes that will launch on Saturday and sell for 10 BUSD.

Proceeds from the auction and the mystery box will be donated to charities Binance and Shakhtar Donetsk, to help Ukrainians who are currently struggling with the ongoing Russian military offensive.
