Riot Games Again Sues Moonton About Copyright, Here’s the Contents of the Lawsuit!

League of Legends developer, Riot Games, surprisingly again sued Mobile Legends developer Moonton.

The claim is still about allegations of copyright regarding some of the similarity of attributes in Mobile Legends to League of Legends.

This certainly adds to the long list of feuds between the two game developers that had occurred several years ago.

Was sued in 2022

Riot Games’ demands against Moonton are certainly not the first time, remember game developer The American made the same claim in 2022 against a different title, namely Mobile Legends: 5V5 MOBA.

In the lawsuit, Riot Games had received a rejection of a lawsuit from a California court that recommended continuing its lawsuit in a Chinese court.

Until finally Tencent as the parent of Riot Games filed a similar claim which was ultimately won by Tencent.

Lapse of 5 years later, Riot Games finally again sued Moonton with the same case concerning copyright.

Reported from polygonRiot Games has again filed a lawsuit against Moonton in the courts of California, United States.

Based on the demands uploaded by Polygon, Riot Games itself asks Moonton not to plagiarize their intellectual property rights again.

In the lawsuit, Riot Games also attached several pieces of evidence that are suspected to have the same resemblance to several characters and promotions that have been carried out by Moonton.
