Warcraft Mobile Version Confirmed to be Released this Year

Blizzard Entertainment plans to launch the Warcraft title on mobile devices this year. The plan has been presented in a financial report released by Activision Blizzard. They mentioned that the development team is preparing two series of Warcraft games, the first is an expansion series and the second is a mobile game.

According to a Eurogamer report with information coming from the developer himself, Blizzard will reportedly officially announce this news in May 2022. World of Warcraft is indeed coming to mobile devices. Unfortunately for now, there is no more detailed information about the game. Eurogamer also revealed that the development process for this mobile version has been going on for years.

Activision Blizzard’s move to enter the mobile game business is indeed less appreciated, despite its success through Call of Duty: Mobile, which was previously worked on by Tencent. At Blizzcon 2022, the introduction of the Diablo Immortal game itself received harsh criticism from fans of the franchise.

It seems that Blizzard learned from previous experiences, they waited until this Warcraft mobile game really matured before throwing it on the market.
