Oscar Isaac Shares His Experience Playing 4 Characters in Moon Knight

The main actor for Moon Knight, namely Oscar Isaac, shared his experience when playing 4 different characters in the series. According to him, this is something new that he has never experienced while working in the world of cinema.

Moon Knight is the latest series from Marvel which will air on Disney+ starting March 30, 2022. According to insider leaks, Moon Knight will be the darkest MCU character, because he often kills his enemies with a sadistic attitude.

Oscar Isaac also told how the process of filming the series took quite a long time. Not to forget, the actor who was born on March 9, 1979, also explained a little about his role in the Moon Knight series.

At a press conference, Oscar said that the concept of character offered by Moon Knight was very different. The difference is that in this series, Oscar is required to play 4 different characters.

“It’s totally different, especially in the MCU, to really focus on the internal struggles of these characters and use Egyptian iconography and the superhero genre to talk about the real internal struggles these main characters are going through,” Isaac said.

In order to get the four characters, he gave his secret. Oscar revealed that the scenes of Marc and Steven were not done at the same time, so he could focus more on playing one character.

“There is a lot of process behind it. At first I asked that Marc and Steven’s scene not be done on the same day. For example, this month we filmed Marc’s scene first, then the following month we continued to shoot Steven’s scene,” said Oscar.

To get out of his character he played in Moon Knight, Oscar did some light meditation and met with his family. This method is quite effective, because he can easily return to being himself.

“When I finished filming, I did some light meditation and I went home, met my wife and two children. They can make me aware and bring out the nature of the character I play quickly, “explained Oscar.

To deepen his role, Oscar was even willing to surf the virtual world for a long time in order to understand how Moon Knight’s role in the MCU is.

“Before getting into this project, I had never even heard of Moon Knight. I searched the internet and found someone selling a 1975 comic. I also collected a lot of Moon Knight artwork and put it on the walls of my house,” he said.
