Hwang Dong Hyuk Makes New Movie, More Sadistic Than Squid Game?
Director Hwang Dong Hyuk is reportedly ready to work on a new film that is claimed to be more sadistic than Squid Game. The title of this film has also been set, but the title can still be changed as needed.
Hwang Dong Hyuk is a director, producer, and screenwriter from South Korea whose name stuck out after working on a series called Squid Game in 2022.
This series is indeed very successful and had broken records in the film world, one record that was broken was it managed to reach 1.65 billion broadcast hours on Netflix in just four weeks since it was first launched.
Now, the director temporarily wanted move on from the series and move on to other films that are claimed to be no less exciting and thrilling than the Squid Game series.
Hwang Dong Hyuk Makes a Movie More Sadistic and Brutal Than Squid Game!
While attending an event in Cannes, France, the director explained a little about his latest film project that he will be working on in the near future. Hwang Dong Hyuk said that the title of the film is Kill Old People Club, which was inspired by an Italian novelist named Umberto Eco.

“Now it’s called the Killing Old People Club. This will be another controversial film from me. Maybe I should avoid the elderly after this film airs,” said Hwang Dong Hyuk, quoted from Koreaboo.
Dong Hyuk did not explain in more detail the storyline of his latest film. for sure, Killing Old People Club will be more sadistic and brutal than Squid Game, a Netflix original series that he previously worked on with Lee JK.
“It will be crueler than the ‘Squid Game’,” he added.
In total, he has written 25 pages related to his latest film and it is hoped that the number of pages will continue to grow over time.
Furthermore, Dong Hyuk also claimed to have received appreciation from Steven Spielberg, thanks to the Squid Game series he had worked on. In fact, Spielberg wants to steal Dong Hyuk’s brain because he is considered very smart in making story ideas.
“Steven Spielberg told me ‘I watched your entire show in three days and now I want to steal your brain,’” Dong Hyuk said.
