The group stage of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2022 Stage 1 Masters Reykjavík ended on April 14, 2022 this morning. This means, the first Masters tournament in 2022 will soon enter the next round.
Of the 8 teams that competed in the group stage phase, only 4 teams were entitled to secure a slot to the playoffs to meet the 4 best teams from the EMEA, NA, APAC, and Brazil regions, who were already waiting in the Playoffs.

Note: G2 Esports replaces the champion FunPlus Phoenix who canceled attending the VCT 2022 Masters due to travel restrictions. Meanwhile, the empty slot belonging to the EMEA Challengers champion was filled by Team Liquid.
Phase battle group stage it was quite easy for each group winner, namely DRX and Team Liquid. Both teams both collected perfect wins and automatically got tickets to the playoffs.
Meanwhile, ZETA Division and OpTic Gaming, both became the last two teams to secure playoff tickets after undergoing their decisive match this morning.
OpTic Gaming won quite easily against a team from Thailand, Xerxia. However, not for ZETA Division, who had to undergo 3 tiring matches against a Brazilian team, Ninjas in Pajamas.
