As a result of the slapping incident, Will Smith was expelled by the Oscar committee!

In an official statement, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) said that they could not anticipate what happened to Will Smith on his show, so he could still sit back in his place after slapping Chris Rock in the face.

“There are things that happen in a way that we couldn’t anticipate,” said the AMPAS committee.

However, his party assured the media that Will Smith had been asked to leave the room, but he refused and chose to remain at the Dolby Theater.

“While we would like to clarify that Mr Smith was asked to leave and he refused, we also recognize that we could have handled the situation differently.”

AMPAS is currently investigating the case and considering the sanctions that Will Smith deserves, “including inappropriate physical contact, abusive or threatening behavior, and compromising the integrity of the Academy.”

“Violence in all its forms is toxic and destructive. My behavior at the Academy Awards last night was unacceptable and unforgivable.” Will Smith wrote on his Instagram account.

“I also want to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the participants and everyone watching around the world. I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and King Richard Family. I am deeply sorry that my behavior has tarnished what has been a wonderful journey for all of us. I’m still learning to improve myself.” continued Will Smith.
