14 Years On, Samuel L Jackson Is Still Loyal To Play Nick Fury
Samuel L Jackson admitted that he still enjoyed his character as Nick Fury, even though he had carried the character for 14 years. So loyal, guys! Haha.
Nick Fury is one of the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who is told as the leader of the members of SHIELD (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logictic Division). Members of this organization are filled by several superheroes whose job is to protect humanity from attacks that come from outer space.
Since first appearing in the film Iron Man (2008), this character has been directly held by Samuel L. Jackson and his position has not been replaced until now. Based on this fact, the actor also gave his response.
Even though it’s been 14 years, Samuel L Jackson is still loyal to Nick Fury
In an interview with Colliderthe 73-year-old actor admitted that he really liked the character of Nick Fury, who has responsibility for people who have super powers.

“I love Nick Fury, of course! He’s a man who doesn’t have superpowers, who is in charge of people who have superpowers, and they let him. That’s something special about him,” Jackson said.
Furthermore, Jackson assesses that Nick Fury has a strong character and is different from other leaders. He has admired the character since he was a child and is still buying the comics to this day.
“He is a very different leader, in his own way. It’s so satisfying to be part of a world I’ve admired for so long when I was a kid.”
“I still buy the comics. I still go to comic shops and still read them. But to become that character, just like when I did Afro Samurai, or any other comic character. Which is to be part of a cultural canon that people revere and respect in a different way,” Jackson concluded.

Later, the character Nick Fury will appear in the films Captain Marvel 2 and Secret Invasion. It is said that the two films will explain why Nick Fury is on another planet, as shown in the post-credits Spider-Man: Far From Home.
