Attack on Titan Story Summary So far
The story begins with the life of a child who lives inside a giant wall named Eren Yaegar, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert. He lives in the middle of Paradis Island which is very remote and in it there are 3 dividing walls, namely Maria, Sina, Rose.
The world outside those walls was like hell. There is a group of mysterious giant humans named Titans who eat humans wandering around the walls. And only the Survey Corps team can try to eradicate the titans while finding out the truth behind their fate.
Wall Maria was successfully penetrated by Titan
One day, the outermost wall, Wall Maria, was penetrated by the Titans. This causes Eren to lose his mother and place to live. The three of them had to flee to Wall Rose and grew up there as immigrants.
Eren, Mikasa and Armin enlist as Survey Corps troops with the intention of finding out and taking revenge on the titans.
Eren Turns Into Titan
But in one mission, Eren actually turned into an Attack Titan because he almost died. This explains that there are humans who can become Titans or are called Shifters.
Another mystery is also revealed when one of the members of the Survey Corps, Reiner and Bertholdt, tries to kidnap Eren. Both of them are Shifters from other islands outside Paradis Island.
To find answers to other mysteries, Eren and the Survey Corps must enter his father’s basement. There, it was revealed that Eren’s father, Grisha Yaegar, was a person from outside the island who was part of a rebel group.
The Titans that roam Paradis Island are the work of the residents of Marleyan, the island opposite Paradis. The Marleyans consider that the citizens of Paradis deserve to be punished because in the past, their ancestors had done a lot of damage, fought and fled to the island.
The expedition in the dungeon also explains that Eren has an older brother outside the island named Zeke Yaegar, who is both part of a rebel group.
To avenge all the citizens of Paradis, Eren cooperates with Zeke plans to do Rumbling, which is mass murder of all citizens of the world using the power of titan. Which the Survey Corps members thought would only create the same hatred against the Paradisians and repeat sad history.
Therefore, Mikasa, Armin and the remaining Survey Corps try to stop Eren with the help of several Titan Shifters.
