How to Request a Verification Sign on Instagram, Blue Checkmark (Verified)

The verification mark or what we usually know as the blue check mark (verified) is a sign given by social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media to give a sign that the account is really genuine.
In last week’s update, Instagram is reportedly testing a new feature to make it easier for users to request a blue checkmark or verify their account.
Some Instagram account users in Indonesia already get this feature on their accounts.
If you are one of the lucky ones to get the trial feature, it’s a good idea to know the steps to request a verification sign or a blue check mark.
The steps are as follows
- Update Instagram for iOS in the App Store to the latest version. Go to the Profile tab at the bottom right.
- Tap the 3 horizontal lines icon at the top right, then select Settings.
- Next, you look for Account – Request Verification.
- After that, please fill in your name and upload a photo of the original document you have, such as an ID card or driver’s license.
- When finished, please press the Send button, and the verification process has been done.
Note: Instagram explains that doing this process does not guarantee that your account will be verified immediately.
The Instagram team will carry out several checks, before giving the mark to personal accounts of artists, brands, media or other important accounts.
