Naruto: 9 Jutsu Similar to Nen Hunter X Hunter
Despite their different power systems, some of the jutsu in Naruto and the Nen techniques in Hunter X Hunter look very similar. Chakra and Nen are basically to gain great power in the worlds of Naruto and Hunter X Hunter respectively.
Chakra is a combination of one’s spiritual and physical energy and is essential for performing any kind of jutsu.
Nen is a power that allows people in the Hunter X Hunter world to manipulate their life force, called aura, to form various techniques.
While there are some interesting differences between the two power systems, some of the abilities they produce are closely related to each other.
In the following, Babang will discuss the similarities between Jutsu in the Naruto and Nen anime from the Hunter X Hunter anime
Kage Bunshin Jutsu is similar to Double Kastro
Created by Tobirama Senju, the Kage Bunshin Jutsu is one of the most influential techniques in the entire Naruto storyline and can be called Naruto Uzumaki’s signature jutsu. This jutsu allows him to clone himself as many times as he wants, depending on how much chakra he expends while doing so.
Kastro Hunter X Hunter is able to perform a similar technique, called Double, using Conjuration and Manipulation-type Nen to create clones of himself.
Increasing Chakra Strength is the same as Enhancing Technique
Used by many shinobi in the Naruto world, Increasing Chakra Strength is a technique that requires a lot of chakra control and allows the user to drastically increase their power. Users of this technique such as Sakura and Tsunade become so strong that even a single blow from their fist becomes deadly.
This is almost the same as the upgrade technique that occurs in Hunter X Hunter, as seen in Big Bang Impact used by Uvogin and many others.
Raikage Lightning Chakra Mode Similar To Godspeed Killua
Used by the Third and Fourth Raikage of Kumogakure, Lightning Chakra Mode is a powerful technique that drastically increases the user’s endurance along with increasing their physical speed and reaction to an opponent’s attacks. This technique makes them very fast to avoid glares from the Sharingan and avoid techniques like Amaterasu.
Killua’s Transmuter type ability, called Godspeed, is very similar to this technique which also improves reflexes and drastically increases his speed.
Netero’s Zero Hand is another version of Night Guy Mode (Yagai)
Using the power of the Eight Gates, Guy was able to match Madara Uchiha in battle and even Madara acknowledged it. His strongest technique, known as Night Guy, gathers all the power he has within him and releases it to attack Madara leaving him on the verge of death.
Interestingly, Netero’s strongest technique, known as Zero Hand, is also the last technique that makes him utilize every part of his aura and fire it at Meruem. Although in the end, both Guy’s and Netero’s techniques failed to defeat the enemy.
Shino and Ponzu both can control Insects
As a member of the Aburame Clan, at birth Shino was given a special insect, called a kikaichu. After growing up, Shino learned to use this skill in battle and used it in many ways, such as tracking, draining chakra, or even conveying messages.
While Ponzu has a power that is not much different from Shino, namely he is able to control bees to attack other people and also send messages. Unfortunately, the extent of his true abilities is yet to be known.
Perfect Susanoo Similar To 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva
Thanks to the power of the Mangeky Sharingan, members of the Uchiha clan can harness the power of Susanoo, which is a large humanoid created from their chakra. Susanoo is capable of fighting at their command and dealing tremendous damage, as well as being able to be used as a defense.
Isaac Netero, the strongest Hunter known, is able to use a technique similar to Susanoo called the 100 Type Guanyin Bodhisattva. Using this ability, he can summon giant statues with weapons capable of fighting at his command. Thanks to the grueling training that Netero underwent in his prime, he could carry out an attack in less than a tenth of a second.
Sharingan Can Copy Jutsu Just Like Ging’s Long Range Punch Technique
The Sharingan is one of the three strongest Kekkei Genkai in the Naruto world. This eye has many extraordinary abilities, one of the strongest being imitating other people’s techniques, unless it is a kekkei genkai or hidden jutsu.
Ging Freecss is known to have a knack for copying any technique she uses, however, she claims it is not a Nen ability. However, to use the technique, Ging must use Nen, as seen when he copied Leorio’s Long Range Punch on his first try.
Might Guy’s Sekizo is similar to Zeno Zoldyck’s Aura Blast
Might Guy is one of the strongest taijutsu users in the Naruto series. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Guy opened all Eight Inner Gates to drastically increase his physical abilities. He can perform techniques such as Sekizo, an air pressure cannon powerful enough to defeat Madara Uchiha’s Ten-Tails Jinchuriki.
Zeno Zoldyck, one of the strongest characters in Hunter X Hunter, he can perform a comparable albeit much weaker technique called Aura Blast. This aura cannon proved to be strong enough to repulse a strong fighter like Chrollo.
Kirin Sasuke Uchiha Resembles Zeno’s Dragon Dive
After training relentlessly under Orochimaru, Sasuke was able to gain incredible powers and even create many techniques of his own, the strongest being the Kirin. By manipulating the weather to create lightning clouds, Sasuke can summon natural lightning from the sky that occurs in 1/1000th of a second.
Zeno’s Dragon Dive is the same technique as he also attacks from above the enemy. Not just a single attack, Zeno rained down a barrage of dragon aura towards the target. However, this technique did not have much power, as it was easily handled by the Meruem Royal Guards.
