Playing GTA 5 on a Computer (Laptop) with only 2GB RAM, can it or not?

I once uploaded an amateur video about an old computer struggling to play a giant game from Rockstar Games, namely Grand Theft Auto 5 or what is usually abbreviated as GTA 5.
At first I just tried it (voice disguised) when uploading a GTA 5 gameplay video on that old computer. And that too can be said to be the first/early video that I uploaded on Youtube.
Now, from the GTA 5 gameplay amateur video that I uploaded on YouTube, it turns out that there are a lot of comments from other low-budget gamers who are surprised. How come yes, old school computer playing Grand Theft Auto 5 game?
Vintage Computer Specifications…
For those of you who don’t know, what old computer do I use? Therefore, below I have written down the specifications of the old school computer that I used to try to play the Grand Theft Auto 5 PC game.
- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 Ghz
- Nvidia GT520 1GB
- HDD 320GB
- 2GB RAM

With the specifications of the computer that can be said to be very old school, I can play the Grand Theft Auto 5 game with the consequence, the Frame Rate is not satisfactory. (roughly)
How to do?
There are no special tricks to be able to play the Grand Theft Auto 5 game on the old school specifications above. All I did was download the game, install it, then just open the GTA 5 PC game on the old computer.
I suggest closing all unused applications that are active in the background on the computer/laptop that you are using. This is intended so that the software has been running optimally and of course in maximum performance. (according to computer skills)

Grand Theft Auto 5 – Core 2 Duo Gameplay | GT520 | 2GB RAM
To give a reference to other low budget gamers who are still not sure whether their computer/laptop can play GTA 5 or not, I’ve also uploaded a GTA 5 gameplay video on other low specifications.
Unlike the previous video which shows the gameplay of GTA 5 on a “computer”. In the video that I uploaded next, it shows a GTA 5 gameplay video on a “Laptop” which of course with 2GB of RAM as well.
Old School Laptop Specifications…
At first glance, the specifications on this laptop are not much different from the computers I used before. The only difference lies in the newer processor, the Intel Core i3.

The Grand Theft Auto 5 frame rate on a laptop is superior to the frame rate obtained on a computer (Core 2 Duo). In my personal opinion, this is because the processor on the laptop is already using an Intel Core i3.
According to the information I got through discussions about the gaming world, that “Open World” games such as GTA5, Watchdogs, Mafia III, etc. prioritize CPU performance.
The cool term for this problem is “CPU Bound”. You can understand more deeply about CPU Bound and GPU Bound through the Channel “Striped Hand“, “Gaptek.id“, or “Jagat Review“

There are several tricks so that the frame rate that you get when playing GTA 5 on an old PC can be even more optimal, the way is by adding a MOD called “GTA 5 for Super Low PC’s FPS Lag Patch”

Honestly I don’t like the MOD Low Patch above because it will reduce the graphics quality significantly. It is true that FPS can increase, but the image quality will decrease very extreme. (totally extreme)
Before that, you must first check the specifications (minimum & recommended) of the PC/Laptop that you are using before trying this GTA5 PC. And don’t ask any questions.”can you play gta5 on windows 32bit or not?(the article already exists)
Conclusion…
By using a computer or laptop that only has 2GB of RAM, it is possible for you to be able to play Grand Theft Auto 5.
You can still taste this game even though it only has 2GB of RAM. But still, to get a real gaming experience, you are encouraged to comply with “minimum specifications‘ of the game.
So…
Hopefully my writing above can be a reference for those of you who still don’t know/sure about whether or not an old school computer/laptop can play the phenomenal game (GTA 5), especially for computer/laptop users that are only equipped with 2GB of RAM.
