Yesterday, December 1st, 2021, Genshin Impact officially introduced two new features that are still part of the 1.1 update. One of them is a 5 star feature called Zhongli. Interestingly, there were pros and cons between players after Zhongli officially became a playable character. Some players think that Zhongli is a weak character.
Players who are disappointed because Zhongli is weak despite being a character in the main story. The players’ disappointment continued to reach miHoYo ears, prompting them to keep making an official confession.
Long story short, in this confession, miHoYo explains his views on traits evolution in Genshin Impact. Originally, they actually developed Zhongli as a supporting character or support in the game.
First of all, miHoYo hopes that Genshin Impact has different mechanics. Although most of the characters in Genshin Impact are based on massive damage, Zhongli’s role is not like that. Zhongli is not made to attack the enemy, but to support the rest of the group and control the enemy’s movement. miHoYo also explained that Elemental Skills and Bursts were designed to keep the party going efficiently. The data included shows that Zhongli fulfills this role as players who use it in their group have a higher survival rate.

According to the schedule, Genshin Impact can bring the next big update in the version 1.2 update. Update 1.2 is slated to be released on December 23rd. In the Genshin Impact Update Version 1.2, a new location called Dragonspine, new missions and content that is currently undetermined can be added.
