To this day (May 20, 2021) there are still gamers who are confused about some of the obstacles that exist in the Grand Theft Auto V game, namely how, how to solve GTA 5 PC that won’t open, an error message appears, or even not responding at all?
Some people who are still early in playing games may not know that Windows OS requires “special steps” first, so that the related game they want to play can run / open properly.
So that’s why I wrote this article…
Below, I will give some simple tips for dealing with games (GTA 5) that cannot be opened, according to my personal knowledge and experience when playing a computer game.
Solving GTA 5 can’t be opened…
Btw, you can do this method on a laptop as well.
The first is…
1. Make sure DirectX, C++, NetFX are installed
Some people usually forget, or don’t even know that most of the applications and games require this software, namely DirectX, C++, NetFramework.
You have to make sure the three software components above are installed on the Windows OS that you use on your PC / Laptop.
If one of the software above is not installed properly, then most likely the application / game that requires it will not run properly, it could even not be opened at all. (including Grand Theft Auto 5)
2. Also install the Rockstar application: Social Club
Also make sure that the Social Club application is installed on the PC / Laptop you are using. Because, the developer Rockstar Games requires players to install this application before playing the Grand Theft Auto 5 game.
3. Make sure the OS is “healthy” (virus free)
In addition, also make sure the state of the Windows OS you are using is healthy, aka free from viruses that could be the cause of the applications / games that you install cannot be opened.
Perform an antivirus update, then scan thoroughly on drives C, D, E, etc…
Another best way, can be by reinstalling Windows.
4. Make sure the Windows OS type is 64 Bit
The Windows OS you are using must also be 64-bit. Because, the minimum sequence of the GTA 5 game requires you to use a 64-bit Windows OS.
5. Check PC / Laptop specifications
First, check the specifications of the PC / Laptop you are using, is it the minimum?
According to the information I read on Rockstar Games official site, the minimum specifications for GTA 5 PC are like this:
– OS Windows 7, 8, 10 (64 bit)
– Intel Core 2 Quad CPU
– 1GB NVIDIA 9800 GT GPU
– 4GB RAM
Something like that… (minimum)
6. No additional…
So far, there are no other additions that I can write in dealing with GTA 5 PC that cannot be opened. In the future I might add it, if there is anything else.

Remember, the points I wrote above are my own personal opinion. So it’s only natural if there are things that don’t match / agree with those of you who are reading this article.
