Best Build for Yoimiya in Genshin Impact

Yoimiya is finally released as a playable character in Genshin Impact. Unlike other characters who use bow and arrow weapons, he is a character who relies on ordinary attacks to deal damage. In addition, even though it acts as a DPS, it shines more when played in a team that utilizes character rotation rather than being the only source of damage.

Best Build for Yoimiya in Genshin Impact

Here are the best builds for Yoimiya in Genshin Impact.

Best Weapon for Yoimiya

As we mentioned above, as a damage dealer, Yoimiya’s main source of damage comes from his usual attacks. That means the build he uses must increase his attack, especially for ordinary attacks. For weapons, there are several options that you can take, but I prefer the two options below:

  • Rust: There was no denying that Rust was the best four-star weapon for Yoimiya. The reason was of course because of its effect that increased ordinary attacks. The downside is that it reduces damage from charged attacks as well as you will rarely use charged attacks with Yoimiya.
  • Hamayumi: When using Hamayumi, you may have to change the way you fight with Yoimiya. But the effect of increasing normal attack damage by up to 64 percent in Refinement five is hard to ignore.

Best Artifacts for Yoimiya

Like many Pyro DPS characters, Yoimiya requires Attack stats, Crit Damage/Rate, and Pyro Damage. For the set used, you have several options depending on the composition of the thyme.

  • Gladiator’s Finale/Shimenawa’s Reminiscence (2) + Crimson Witch of Flames (2): This set increases Yoimiya’s damage through Attack as well as Pyro Damage. Although not the best in terms of damage output, this set is more flexible and allows Yoimiya to be included in any team.
  • Crimson Witch of Flames (4): If you play Yoimiya on a team that activates Elemental Reaction, the full set of Crimson will be more ideal. The reason is because you will get greater damage from the effects of these two sets if you can activate Elemental Reaction consistently.
  • Shimenawa Reminiscence (4): Shimenawa’s full set can also provide a fairly large bonus damage. But to be able to cover the weakness of this set you must be able to provide sufficient energy sources.

Best Lineup for Yoimiya

Despite acting as DPS, Yoimiya has a playstyle that leads to team rotation rather than spearheading. It will shine even more if it is played with one more damage dealer that can complement each other.

With this mindset, there are two characters who can become Yoimiya’s partners. First was Beidou with his Elemental Burst. When combined with Yoimiya’s Elemental Skill, you can activate Overload consistently and cover this character’s weakness, which is not having AoE. Since you brought Beidou, it’s a good idea to bring Fischl or Electro Traveler as an energy provider. Then for one last slot you can use Bennett or another healer.

The second option is Xinqiu, also with her Elemental Burst which helps Yoimiya activate the Vaporize effect. This does not cover Yoimiya’s weakness in the AoE sector, but makes him have a greater potential for burst damage to a single target. The lineup that you can use is also quite flexible if Xinqiu uses a weapon with an Energy Recharge bonus.

Finally, you can also bring a lineup that doesn’t use Elemental Reaction. This means you can bring Bennett for Pyro Resonance and then Anemo and/or Geo characters like Kazuha and/or Zhongli depending on your needs.
