Cecepkocep – Genius Wand is one of the magic items in Mobile Legends Bang Bang game. This Genius wand is a new item included in patch 1.3.84.
Genius Wand has a passive ability similar to Blade of the 7 Seas before the update that can reduce the enemy’s magical defenses. The existence of this Genius wand item will place us in a dilemma as it works almost the same as Divine Glaive.

Base status
+75 magical power: It’s not too big, but that status isn’t the selling point of this Genius wall item.
+ 5% movement speed: This status makes the hero using the Genius Wand more agile, if not as big.
passive
The first passive of this Genius wand item is to grant +15 magic penetration. Of course, this status is very useful against tank heroes. Although not that big, this status will be very useful against tank heroes early in the game. Its value corresponds to the basic status of Arcane Boots in moving objects.
The second passive of this Genius Wand item is to reduce the enemy’s magical defense by 3 to 10 points (increases as the level increases). This effect lasts 2 seconds and can be stacked up to 3 times. In this way we can reduce the enemy’s magical defense down to 30 points.
How does it work? In order to activate this second passive, we need to deal damage to the enemy, be it with a skill or a simple attack. The passive functionality of the Genius Wand is somewhat similar to that of Blade of the 7 Seas, except that it does not have to be activated with skills.

Genius Wand vs Divine Glaive
Genius Wand and Divine Glaive are both very good against tank heroes as they can reduce the enemy’s magical defenses. However, both have different ways of working.
We can activate the passive of the Genius Wand by inflicting damage on the enemy (skill or basic attack). If you deal damage three times within 2 seconds, the enemy’s magical defense is reduced by 10 points (at MAX level).
For example, the enemy buys Athena’s shield, which gives 56 magical defenses. Now if we attack three times the magic defense will be reduced by 30. So the enemy only has 26 magic defenses for 2 seconds.
Since the Genius Wand’s passive reduces magical defense right from its base state, our friends will feel the effect. Damage from our friends (hero mages) will still hurt as the enemy’s magical defenses have been reduced. This way our friends will really feel the effects of the Genis wand.
Then what about Divine Glaive? Divine Glaive has a different way of working. Divine Glaive diminishes the enemy’s magical defense by penetrating them, not by lowering their base value. In this way, our friends will not feel the effects of the Divine Glaive as only the user of the item can feel them.
For example, the enemy buys Athena’s shield, which gives 56 magical defenses. When we use Divine Glaive, the magical defense can be penetrated up to 70%. This way our damage 39.2 will ignore magic defense. The enemy’s magical defense that works is only 16.8. And the only one who will feel the effects of this article is ourselves, our friends will not feel it.
Which one should we choose then? Genius wand or divine glaive? The mage ganking heroes are very well suited to using the Genius Wand, while the heroes who often solo lane are better off with Divine Glaive.

All mage heroes lend themselves very well to the use of Genius wall items. However, heroes who like ganking are better suited. Because the passive effect of this object will really be felt by teammates. Because this item can reduce the enemy’s magical defense directly from its basic status.
