FIGHT Campus Legend Tournament officially opened, prize pool 50 million!
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – FIGHT Esports, Forest Interactive’s esports platform supported by Wallet Codes Indonesia, Moonton Indonesia and the Indonesian Video Game Association (AVGI), hosted a Mobile Legends tournament between campuses across Indonesia. The tournament, called FIGHT Campus Legend (FCL), will run for five months from June 10th to October 31st, 2021.
Forest Interactive Indonesia Deputy Marketing and Business Development Manager Megan Faustine claims that FCL is the biggest tournament organized by FIGHT this year.
“Forest Interactive through FCL is hosting inter-campus tournaments to promote the eSports ecosystem and also to find new talent in the eSports world from campus in Indonesia,” said Megan.
This tournament competes for a price of Rp 50 million rupiah with a total of 320 teams of participants from different universities. The first season of the tournament was held online to comply with government recommendations and to ensure the safety of all participants. The organizer does not charge a registration fee.
In the meantime, General Secretary of AVGI, Angki Trijaka as a supporter of the event welcomed this game tournament. According to him, FIGHT Campus Legend is the implementation of a strategic collaboration between the private sector and associations with the aim of advancing the video game industry.
“I think it’s important for us to create a supportive and competitive ecosystem among the students through a tournament Video games,” he explained.
There are four phases in this tournament, namely registration, qualification, Group stage, and Playoffs. The registration process will start from May 1st to May 31st, 2021. The FCL organizers are aiming for 1,600 participants in this tournament. In addition, each week the committee selects 32 teams from the qualification process. Any participant wishing to take part in this activity must present a valid student ID (KTM), which means that they are an active student.
At the end of the game, the three winning teams will be announced. The first winner will receive prize money of IDR 15 million, the second winner IDR 12 million and the third winner IDR 10 million. In addition to the three main prizes, Wallet Codes also distributes millions of P Points as a sponsor, which can be exchanged for game vouchers on the www.wallet-codes.com portal.
