After PES, the FIFA game series will supposedly become a free game

GAMEFINITY.ID, Salatiga – Konami’s decision to turn PES into a free-to-play game also seems to be derided by EA’s rivals. The reason for this is that EA is reportedly planning to release FIFA 23 as a free-to-play game.

This message comes from a well-known FIFA game leak called Donk. Through a tweet on his official Twitter account, he announced that EA is interested in making FIFA a free-to-play game like its rival PES.

EA’s decision to turn FIFA into a free-to-play game is quite reasonable indeed. Because only with FIFA Ultimate Team EA was able to reap a profit of 1.62 billion dollars.

So converting FIFA into a free-to-play game will most likely not change the huge advantage EA has achieved in FIFA Ultimate Team.

Not only is Donk a free-to-play game, but it has also revealed that FIFA 23 most likely supports cross-platform where players from different platforms like PS4 and PC can play together.

EA itself has never implemented this cross-platform feature in their FIFA Ultimate Team. Although this feature is one of the most requested features from fans of the FIFA series.

EA had previously announced that it would release its latest game FIFA 22 tomorrow in October 2021. FIFA 22 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Google Stadia platforms. FIFA 22 will offer a variety of features and fresher gameplay than its predecessor.
