How to overcome the download resource not working in Mobile Legends

Some of the Mobile Legends users may experience the following:

  • Hero image does not appear, just a question mark
  • When entering the game, the hero form does not appear, just a ball of light
  • Brawl mode cannot be played
  • The number of downloads on the indicator does not increase.

Okay, the above things are caused by resource downloading that is not working and there can be many factors that can be causing this.

I myself get a lot of questions about it on the web, in groups, even via PM.

Interesting facts for those who don’t know

  • Resource download (in-game download) is for downloading game content such as pictures, heroes, hero shapes, hero animation / movement, skill animation, etc.
  • Obviously, for those who are installing Mobile Legends for the first time, the download resource is much larger than the download from the Playstore.
  • For those who have already installed ML and completed the download of the resource, the download resource will only be available when the latest patch update is available. And usually less than 10% of the total resources previously downloaded.
  • For those entering the game but what comes out is just a white ball of light for pushing your way into the game even though the resource download was incomplete.

Please try some of these solutions.

1. Make sure you have enough space in memory.

Downloading resources requires sufficient space on your mobile phone so that the total download of the app and resource is around 650-800 MB.

And if you play Mobile Legends a lot in the future, provide at least 2GB as the battle record is stored on your phone and needs to be cleaned regularly.

2. Make sure your network is running smoothly too,

Yes, if the download resource is not working because your network is down or slow, you should just wait for it to work properly again.

3. Check the completeness of the resources

How: Go to Settings and select the “Network Discovery” button

In the window that appears, select “Resource Check”
Then tap / click the Review / Review button.

The system scans the completeness of our Mlbb resource. When you’re done, you’ll see something like the following. However, if it is not enough, then most likely there will be an option to add to the existing resources.

4th Uninstall and then reinstall from the Google PlayStore.

Download resources that sometimes don’t want to run because files are corrupt / damaged. This could be because the network is not stable while downloading.

This can take a lot of time and quotas as the download is quite large. It is highly recommended to use WiFi as it is fast and stable.


5. Check app permissions.

Check application permissions, who knows you won’t allow Mobile Legends to write data to your cellphone. Make sure the Storage section is checked.

How to check: Go to Settings / Preferences on your mobile phone and select Installed Apps. Then select Mobile Legends, at the bottom there is App Permissions and Other Permissions

If you’re having trouble enabling app permissions, your phone likely has an app that uses a screen overlay (the icon is floating on the screen). Such as uc Browser and Messenger. You can temporarily disable the application until the resource download is 100% complete.

6th Copy friends’ folder assets.

If the 4 solutions above don’t help, please try this one. And for the record, do so at your own risk (yes, although there is almost no risk). However, since I got this info from one of the readers of this blog, I’ll be sharing it and hopefully it helps because he tried it himself and it works.

To do this quickly you will need a laptop / computer.

First, look for a phone that has Mobile Legends in it and is good to play with. Everyone’s cell phone can be, friends, relatives, acquaintances or anyone.

Connect the mobile phone to the laptop / PC / computer and look for the HP folder Android >> Data >> com.mobile.legends >> Files >> Dragon >> Assets.

Copy Assets folder on laptop / pc / computer that can be put anywhere it is important to fit, almost 600MB in size.

Then please remove the mobile phone and it is your turn to connect your mobile phone to the laptop / PC / computer.
Copy the Assets folder to the Android folder >> data >> com.mobile.legends >> Files >> Dragon on your mobile phone. There is already an assets folder there, so please just overwrite it (overwrite / merge).

If so, you can remove your mobile phone from the laptop / pc / computer sooner and please try opening the Mobile Legends if it works properly.
