Here's how to use Partition Magic easily
Here’s a quick and easy way to use Partition Magic – The development of technology makes many software appear and have a function that makes it easy to perform activities when interacting with computers or laptops. One of the software that can assist activities is hard drive partitioning software.
Hard drive partition software is used to manage hard drive space. There is a lot of software developed by developers one of which software has many users, namely Partition Magic Software. Partition Magic is a hard drive partitioning software program. Hence, in this discussion, we are going to discuss Partition Magic Software quickly and easily.
Levels or how to use Partition Magic
Before we know how to use hard drive partitioning software, we need to know the partition magic software first. This software was first developed by PowerQuest Corporation, but on December 5, 2003, it was acquired by Symantec. Symantec published the partition software and renamed it to norton partitionmagic.
However, some users complain that the software cannot work properly on Windows 10 or Windows 7. Therefore, in this discussion, we provide alternative software that performs the same function as Norton Partition Magic. The software is IM-Magic Partition Resizer software.
The advantage of this software is that it can resize NTFS, FAT32 or FAT16 partitions. Modifying this software will ensure that you will not lose any data while copying or moving hard drive partitions. In addition, it can also convert different types of partitions in the form of FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS.
Advantages of hard drive partition
- Can make the hard drive read the index location of a file
- Good hard drive performance speeds up computer performance
- If a drive is exposed by a virus, the other drives will remain safe
- Install multiple operating systems on the computer
- File storage management is better organized
Requirements for IM-Magic Partition Resizer
Operating system: Windows 10/8/7, Windows Vista, Windows XP

Some steps and ways to use Partition Magic
To create this partition software, we need to download the software first. Here is the download link for IM Partition Magic Resizer and the steps to partition the hard drive:
1. First open the IM PartitionMagic Resizer installation file
2. After the dialog box appears, click Next, then choose a location or folder to save the software installation, and then click Install
3. Wait for the installation process
4. Then click on Finish
5. Then open the PartitionMagic application
6. To create a new partition, right-click the unallocated space and select Create Partition.
7. Enter Label Name in the Label column and select the drive letter of the drive you want to create. Select the file system and adjust the partition size by moving the green marking or manually writing in the column for the partition size. Click OK
8. A new partition with the adjusted size will then appear automatically.
9. Then shrink the volume on the hard drive partition using this method. Shrink Volume is used to shrink the partition size and redirect the size to unallocated space. So that you can later create a new partition without deleting the data on the drive
10. Right-click the drive to shrink the volume on the drive, select Resize / Move Partition
11. Then slide the size to the right so that it can be added to an existing partition
12. Then right click on the drive the user will be resizing, select Resize / Move Partition Move
13. Then increase the size of the partition that has been reduced in volume by moving the green cursor to the right
14. Done, the size of the hard disk partition has increased
