This game from miHoYo has received positive feedback worldwide. It is even touted as the Chinese game with the most successful worldwide introduction.

It is not the first Chinese game to be successfully introduced worldwide. We can find more games made by developers from this country.

For example Mobile Legends, AOV and many other games. However, this RPG action game is considered a phenomenon in itself.

At the start of its release, the Shanghai-based developer’s game received more than 110,000 views streamed live on Twicth.

This free game itself was officially released worldwide on PC, Android and iOS, and simultaneously for PlayStation 4.

In fact, this open world action RPG was first introduced in 2021. Its popularity has grown since the closed beta test opened.

According to Qimai Data, Genshin Impact ranks second in the Apple App Store China in the category of high-revenue apps and competes against Douyin (TikTok).

According to this report, this free game is said to have made more than $ 1.84 million, or the equivalent of 27 billion rupees, on iOS China alone.

This number is just beginning to roll out and only by Chinese iOS users. There are still no estimates for Android and PC in the Chinese market.

This data is backed by Serkan Toto, Chieft Executive of games industry consultant Kantan Games Inc., who said that Genshin Impact is the most internationally successful Chinese game today.

“I don’t think a game made in China ever had that many pre-registrations outside of its home market. Genshin Impact is already a big title from the amount of people who were interested from the start.” he said.

This success is supported by the achievement of this action RPG game which reached 5.3 million users during pre-registration outside of China.

In its own country, this free game has been pre-registered by up to 16 million users on three different platforms.

Serkan Toto himself also emphasized that this game is very ambitious. He also believes it will be a huge hit since its inception.

MiHoYo founder Liu Wei told local media that Genshin Impact cost around $ 100 million, or the equivalent of 1.5 trillion rupees, to develop.

So far, this free game has received a very positive response. And miHoYo promises more content for the future.
