Blocking PUBG and Mobile Legends? This is Kominfo’s answer

Hitekno.com – The Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo) finally gave its response to news that 10 violent games were being blocked. Including the game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Mobile Legends.
In a press release published on Thursday (October 1st, 2021), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology confirmed that an online poster stating that the 10 online games would be blocked on January 31, 2021 was a lie or a joke.
”The Ministry of Communications and Informatics confirmed that the information was not true or a joke.” wrote the Ministry of Communications and Informatics in a press release.
The Ministry of Communication and Informatics further stated that similar information was disseminated in 2015 and 2021, but the poster mentioned the Ministry of Education and Culture and Kominfo.
Kominfo also emphasized that the protection of the public when using electronic interactive game products is regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Informatics No. 11 of 2021 on the classification of electronic games.
In this rule, games are divided into content categories and age groups of users.
The age division consists of five groups, namely the age group from 3 years; Age group 7 years or older; Age group 13 years or older; Age group 18 years or older; and groups of all ages.
Each age group category has its own content criteria. Violence-related content is only permitted for electronic games from the age group 13 years with certain restrictions.
No acts of violence are allowed under the age of 13. [Suara.com]
